After his twin brother was discovered dead from a gunshot wound outside a hotel in Portland over the weekend, authorities said a Washington man was arrested on Wednesday.
According to the Portland Police Bureau, Martre Oliver, 26, was apprehended by U.S. Marshals on Wednesday evening in Renton in connection with the death of his twin brother, Martese Oliver.
In the 8200 block of Northeast Sandy Boulevard in the Sumner area, Martese Oliver was discovered just before 3:30 on Sunday, according to police.
Oliver passed away there, according to the detectives. Martese Oliver’s death was judged a homicide when a medical examiner confirmed that a gunshot wound was the cause of death.
Brenda reported hearing gunshots to FOX12 Oregon from a neighbour who lives close to the hotel.
I was out of it,” she admitted. I heard a few gunshots followed by the sound of a car accelerating.
Additional information regarding the circumstances behind the shooting or Martre Oliver’s arrest was withheld by the police for a short while.
Second-degree murder and unauthorised use of a weapon were the charges brought against Martre Oliver.
