Chief Mark Hillery of the Buffalo Fire Department passed away suddenly On Wednesday, September 15, .
The passing of Hillery was reported by the Buffalo Police Department on Friday. His reason of death is still unknown.
Beginning in September 1989, Hillery spent more than 30 years working for the Buffalo Fire Department. He received a Battalion Chief promotion in October 2008.
