Alan Guillen, a 16-year-old student at Manor High School, passed away last week after being shot in the head. He is related to Vanessa Guillen, the Fort Hood murder victim who was a soldier.
Alan was shot in the head on Monday, October 24, and has since been in critical condition at Dell Seton Medical Center. On Friday, November 4, the Austin Police Department announced his demise.
According to APD, on October 24, when officers responded to a complaint regarding a young person being taken to the hospital after being shot, they discovered the incident had taken place about 30 minutes earlier in the 1500 block of Brandt Drive, close to the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.
Police claim that a suspect fired shots at two vehicles containing children, striking Alan Guillen in the head. The suspect is characterised as a heavyset Hispanic male between the ages of 17 and 20 who is approximately 5’7″ tall. In addition to dark slacks, he was last seen sporting a crimson hoodie.
