When Manchester City faced RB Leipzig in the Champions League, one cheeky Manchester United tried to incite a riot by showing her true colors in front of the Etihad Stadium. The United supporter, nevertheless, arrived late to the celebration since it appeared like everyone else had already left the stadium. She was still able to spread her message on Twitter, though.
Bella posted the video with the caption: “Manchester will always be red”, as she at first looked unassuming wearing a white jumper under her overcoat. But, as she pulled off a textbook pirouette, she lifted her jumper to reveal a United shirt. She then lifted up one more layer for luck and showed off her red lingerie underneath.
Her plan to rile up City supporters on social media paid off, as followers of both teams divided her comments section. “Red for life,” wrote one Red Devils supporter in their response. “This is the content I followed you for,” remarked the second. A third person concurs, saying, “Manchester is red.”
She was promptly reminded by City supporters of the team’s commanding 3-0 victory at Old Trafford earlier this month. One fan wrote, “Dream on Bella bobs!!!!” “Haaland owns United by himself,” remarked a second, and “It’s turning blue now,” said a third.
Prior to Tuesday night’s encounter, the blue side of Manchester had already guaranteed their spot in the competition’s knockout stages with a perfect record from their first four games. But when Leipzig scored twice in the first half through Lois Openda, they had to fight back to make it five from five. Erling Haaland and Phil Foden’s goals in the second half, together with Julian Alvarez’s late winner, sealed City’s victory in the group.
This season, United has struggled far more in Europe, and their qualification is now in jeopardy. Erik ten Hag’s team is presently bottom of Group A and needs to defeat Bayern Munich at home and win away from Galatasaray on Wednesday night in order to maintain their slim chance of qualifying.
