Just after midnight on Friday, the collision occurred close to the intersection of South 6th Street and Edgeland Drive. According to Marshalltown police, an automobile slammed into a power pole and caught fire.
Investigations into what caused this collision are ongoing.
A candlelight memorial honouring the four teenagers was conducted on Saturday at St. Henry church in Marshalltown.
