A TWISTED boyfriend fatally stabbed a four-times-pregnant woman with a pair of scissors before making a gruesome confession to police.
Ailish Walsh, 28, was stabbed 40 times by Liam Taylor before being abandoned to die in her bedroom, where her father found her.
Tragically, Ailish was 22 weeks along when the “exceptionally brutal” attack on December 15 of last year took place.
After stabbing his partner, Taylor, 37, told police: “It’s crazy how one moment of madness can change your whole life.”
Unsettling security camera footage shows Taylor entering Ailish’s North London home at 8:36 p.m. and leaving at 9:14 p.m.
Ailish’s friend had called the victim five minutes prior to his departure and could hear screaming and fighting in the background.
The court heard that she had gotten in touch with Ailish after she frantically messaged her while attempting to remove Taylor from the Stoke Newington flat because he was using drugs.
Later, when Ailish’s father got there, he discovered her in her bedroom, unconscious and covered in blood.
She had Taylor’s bank card in the pocket of a high visibility jacket that she was wearing.
Two dumbbells and a pair of bloodied scissors were discovered nearby.
The following morning, early, Taylor was taken into custody at his home. He had cocaine, cannabis, and alcohol in his system.
Friends started a GoFundMe page after “beautiful” Ailish was killed to raise money to fly her body back to her native Ireland.
Paying tribute, organiser Teresa Cannon wrote: “[She] was a beautiful amazing young woman of 28 with 4 young children and a little girl on the way.”
At an Old Bailey hearing on Monday, Taylor admitted to killing Ailish.
Taylor had prior convictions for assaulting female family members, according to the court.
He was cautioned for headbutting his sister when she was only 16 and sentenced to a year in prison for hitting his mother with a metal pole.
He was remanded in custody by Judge Alexia Durran, who also postponed sentencing so that reports could be made.
She told him: “There can only be one sentence. The only question will be how long it will be before the parole board considers your release.”
Taylor will be sentenced on May 10.
