According to posts on social media, LEON Vitali, an actor and Stanley Kubrick’s personal assistant, passed away at the age of 74.
Vitali’s passing was revealed on the official Kubrick Twitter account, the statement said.
We are thinking of his family.
“Leon Vitali was the lifeblood of Kubrick’s films after the master himself, whether he was giving the performance of his life as Lord Bullingdon, playing the menacing Red Cloak, offering BTS technical help on FMJ, or attending the Cannes Film Festival 4K release of The Shining.
As Kubrick’s right-hand man on the set, Vitali was well recognised for his commitment to the director. He even received “Assistant to Director” credit in each of his films.
In the 1970s, Vitali gained a number of acting credentials from his work in front of the camera, including Little Children, Inter Rail, The Terror of Frankenstein, and many sitcom parts.
