Bronny was brought to the hospital after a 911 call was placed from the Galen Center, where USC practices, at 9:26 a.m.
Bronny, 18, was a four-star recruit after excelling in high school at Sierra Canyon.
“LeBron and Savannah wish to publicly express their heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to the USC medical and athletic staff for their incredible work and dedication to the safety of their athletes,” according to the statement.
According to TMZ, Bronny was unconscious when he was rushed to the hospital by EMS.
A 911 dispatcher is also heard stating “unconscious” in audio acquired by the site.
According to TMZ, the medical emergency was a Code 3, which means that emergency personnel arrived at the site with ambulance lights and sirens.
Bronny, James’s eldest son, is starting his freshman year at USC.
In May, he revealed his intention to play for the Trojans the following season, writing the school’s slogan, “Fight On,” in an Instagram post.
Bronny, a 6-foot-3 combo guard, averaged 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists as a senior at Sierra Canyon, where he was selected a McDonald’s All-American.
Bronny competed in the high school showcase slam dunk competition in March, 20 years after James won the dunk contest as part of the McDonald’s All-American festivities.
Bronny, who turns 19 in October, will be eligible for the draft in 2024.
In addition to Bronny, James and Savannah have a son Bryce, 18, and a daughter Zhuri, 8.
The Lakers great, who became the NBA’s all-time leading scorer on Feb. 7, previously stated that he wanted to play in the NBA alongside Bronny.
“That’s the strategy! “God willing,” James remarked in a May 2022 Twitter Q&A with supporters.
