Lava Agni 2 5G will be available soon. The new MediaTek Dimensity 7050 5G SoC is confirmed to power the phone. It is expected to replace the Lava Agni 5G smartphone. Previously, leaks and reports suggested some of the phone’s key features and specifications. A new leak suggests additional specifications as well as a live image revealing the design of the Lava Agni 2 5G smartphone.
Tipster Abhishek Yadav tweeted a live image of the Lava Agni 2 5G along with some expected key specifications of the handset. The smartphone is shown in the image in a silver-blue color scheme, with a large circular camera module in the center of the back panel.
According to the source, the Lava Agni 2 5G has an in-display fingerprint sensor. The phone is expected to ship with Android 13 and an AMOLED display, an upgrade from the LCD display panel used in its predecessor. The primary sensor in the rear camera unit is expected to be 50 megapixels.
Lava has already confirmed that the new MediaTek Dimensity 7050 5G SoC, which is essentially a rebranded version of the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chipset, will power the Agni 2 5G. According to the source, the phone will be available in a single variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
According to an earlier leak, the Lava Agni 2 5G smartphone will have a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a refresh rate of 90Hz. However, the report also stated that the phone will be available in March or April. Given that it is now May, that information is now out of date.
The older leak, on the other hand, stated that the upcoming Lava Agni 2 5G smartphone’s triple rear camera will include a 50-megapixel primary sensor with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) support. On the front, a 16-megapixel sensor is expected to be available. According to the report, the Lava Agni 2 5G will be powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 44W wired charging support and a USB Type-C port.
The predecessor, the Lava Agni 5G, was released in November 2021. The phone was available in Fiery Blue with a single storage configuration of 8GB + 256GB.
