The official launch date for the Lava Agni 2 5G in India is May 16. Amazon will be the only place to buy it. The e-commerce website already hosts the landing page. Although the company hasn’t released all of the phone’s details, the entire design has been posted online. In a hands-on video, a well-known tipster not only teased the Lava Agni 2 5G’s design but also provided some additional crucial information, such as the storage configuration.
The upcoming Lava Agni 2 5G is seen in a hands-on video posted by tipster Paras Guglani (Twitter: @passionategeekz) to have a curved display with a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera at the top. It appears to have a quad camera setup with an LED flash on the back, all of which are housed in a circular camera module. On the back panel of the phone, there also appears to be Lava and 5G branding. The Lava Agni 2 5G is also expected to have up to 256GB of storage and 8GB of RAM.
In addition, it appears from the leaked video that the Lava Agni 2 5G will come pre-installed with Android 13. In addition, a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC is confirmed to be included.
Other rumors and leaks have also hinted at additional information about the Lava Agni 2 5G. A 50-megapixel primary rear sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) is most likely included in the smartphone. It might have a 6.5-inch HD+ AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. Additionally, a 5,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging support is rumored to be inside. Other information that has been leaked includes a front-facing 16-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls, a fingerprint reader that is mounted on the side, and a USB Type-C port for connectivity.
The Lava Agni 5G, which debuted in November 2021, will be replaced by the Lava Agni 2 5G. The MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC is included with the smartphone. It comes with a 64-megapixel primary sensor, a 6.78-inch full-HD+ display, 8GB of RAM, and a 5,000mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging.
