Another price increase saga appears to be in motion as Lucky Motor Corporation Limited (LMCL), following Kia, has raised the costs of both Peugeot 2008 models.
The following new prices are effective as of July 5:
Models | Old Price (Rs.) | New Price (Rs.) | Increase (Rs.) |
Peugeot 2008 Active | 6,840,000 | 7,050,000 | 210,000 |
Peugeot 2008 Allure | 7,580,000 | 7,800,000 | 220,000 |
Last year, Peugeot made its debut in Pakistan and teased the arrival of three SUV models on its official website.
The 2008 model, which is currently for sale, the MG HS and Haval H6-fighting 3008, the Chery Tiggo 8 and Changan Oshan X7-fighting 5008, and the currently available 2008 were the models. However, because of the decline in Pakistan’s economy, the plans had to be put on hold.
The business still intends to introduce the other two models in Pakistan, according to a number of sources. The timing of their launch is unknown, though, because there is no sign of the current economic downturn ending.
In any case, it is safe to say that there is still a market in Pakistan for high-end crossovers, which is encouraging for Peugeot and its prospects in the country.
