Just 72 hours before she passed away at Michael Owen’s stables, the former beauty queen is seen grinning in her sad final photograph.
After fainting at her place of employment as a transport manager at Manor House Stables in Cheshire, Jessica Whalley, 25, could not be revived by rescuers.
Following the tragic death at the stables that he and his 19-year-old daughter Gemma co-own on Tuesday, Owen, 43, was reported to have sobbed “in tears.”
Family and friends have been praising the “stunning” young lady.
A friend shared a picture of Jessica that was shot just three days before her sad passing.
She is seen carrying a tumbler of wine while grinning at the bar.
Alongside the pic the friend wrote: “It’s heartbreaking to hear Jess lost her life today at the tender age of 25.
“She was riding out doing what she loved. We had so many great times working in Dubai.
“May she rest in peace. Here’s her just 72 hours ago.”
Around 8.50 am, Ms. Whalley became ill and emergency personnel flocked to the racing yard, but tragically, she was declared deceased there, according to Cheshire Police.
Her next of kin have been notified, according to the police, and the death is not being investigated as suspect.
Ms. Whalley, also known as Jess to her friends, represented the UK in the 2019 Miss Tourism Universe competition in Beirut, which was broadcast on MTV.
She advanced to the top ten competitors.
In a statement yesterday, Cheshire Police said: “At around 8.50am today, Tuesday 28 March, police were made aware that a 25-year-old woman had collapsed at a stables on Old Coach Road, Malpas.
“Emergency services attended the location and, despite the best efforts of all those involved, the woman sadly died at the scene.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious and her next of kin have been informed. A file will be prepared for the coroner.”
