A 33-YEAR-OLD SOCIAL MEDIA STAR has died as a result of a “dual cardiac arrest.”
Larissa Borges, an Instagram influencer, died on Monday after being in a coma for more than a week.
According to social media posts from her family, the young woman was first admitted on August 20 after apparently having a heart arrest in the city of Gramado in her native Brazil.
However, the physical education student died after having a second heart arrest.
Larissa had over 30,000 followers on Instagram, where she published selfies, travel photos, and health and fitness advice.
Larissa, who was from Brazil, had shared a photo of herself standing in Gramado wearing a black puffer coat and a checkered skirt just three days before her hospitalization.
Other photos, taken just one day before her cardiac collapse, show her in an all-black ensemble, with a tag indicating she attended the city’s film festival during her visit.
Following her hospitalization, loved ones took over her account and published updates on her status, with admirers flocking to the comments to express their well wishes.
Larissa died yesterday, according to a terrible update, and she had “fought courageously” for her life.
The family of the young woman is now seeking funds to transport her body from Gramado to her village.
A family member wrote: “Any amount, however small, will make a difference and help ease the financial burden facing the family during this very challenging time.”
Local cops are reportedly investigating the death.
