Lahore Qalandars Beats Multan Sultans in the 20th match of the Pakistan Super League’s (PSL) 2023 edition at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
While chasing the 181-run target, the Sultans got off to a good start, with Mohammad Rizwan and Shan Masood surviving the powerplay and scoring 44 runs.
Masood, on the other hand, was out in the seventh over of the innings after a brilliant catch by Shaheen Afridi off the bowling of Zaman Khan. In 20 pitches, the left-hander scored 19 runs.
After a successful review, Sikandar Raza claimed the prized scalp of Mohammad Rizwan, who scored 30 runs in 27 balls. The on-field umpire denied the LBW appeal, but replay revealed three reds.
Usama Mir was unexpectedly promoted up the order to score some quick runs, but the experiment only yielded 17 runs in 11 balls. Rashid Khan clean bowled Mir, who came in at number three. In the same over, the Afghanistan leg-spinner dismissed David Miller (1) after another successful review by the Qalandars.
The @iamusamamir promotion does not last long.

Rashid Khan, who finished with figures of 3-15 in four overs, also dismissed Rilee Rossouw.
Kieron Pollard scored 39 runs in 28 balls, but it wasn’t enough for Multan to win.
One wicket each was taken by Zaman Khan, Haris Rauf, Sikandar Raza, and Hussain Talat.
Multan were bowled out for 159-7 in 20 overs.
Earlier, after winning the toss and deciding to bat first against Multan Sultans at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Lahore Qalandars set a target of 181 runs.
Lahore finished with a score of 180-9 in their allotted 20 overs.
The batting side was dealt a major setback in the first over when in-form opener Fakhar Zaman (0) was caught at third man while attempting to clear the fence.
Meanwhile, after a 50-run stand with Abdullah Shafique, Ihsanullah dismissed Mirza Tahir Baig in the fifth over of the innings. In 11 pitches, the right-hander scored 17 runs.
After losing Baig, Shafique formed a new, fruitful partnership with Sam Billings. The 69-run stand was broken, however, when Shafique was caught and bowled by Kieron Pollard after scoring 48 runs in 35 balls.
Billings, who appeared to be on a roll, was caught in front of the stumps after misjudging Pollard’s delivery. With six fours and two sixes, the English batter scored 54 runs in 35 balls.
