Lahore Qalandars Vs Islamabad United Highlights – LQ Vs IU- PSL 8 Match 16:
On Monday, Lahore Qalandars defeated Islamabad United by 110 runs at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore in the 16th match of the ongoing eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Choosing to bat first, Lahore set a massive 201-run target before bowling Islamabad out for 90 runs in 13.5 overs, thanks to a brilliant knock from Abdullah Shafique and a sensational bowling performance from David Wiese and Sikandar Raza.
Apart from the opening stand of 41 runs between Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Colin Munro, Islamabad couldn’t form a partnership and failed to get going in response to the big total.
After openers Colin Munro and Gurbaz (23) helped Islamabad get off to a good start, Zaman Khan provided Lahore with a much-needed breakthrough.
Gurbaz mistimed Zaman’s slow short bowl, and Fakhar Zaman took a blinder to send the Afghan batter back to the pavilion.

Soon after Gurbaz left, Shaheen introduced David Wiese, who defeated Colin Munro and reduced Islamabad to 54-2.
The left-handed batter drove in 18 runs on 14 pitches.
Haris Rauf, a fiery pacer, struck in the next over, sending Rassie van der Dussen (3) packing.
After a successful review, Wiese sent Islamabad captain Shadab Khan (4) back to the pavilion.
Islamabad continued to lose wickets. In an attempt to increase the run-rate, Asif Ali went for a six, but was caught by Haris off Rashid Khan.

Tahir Baig and Fakhar Zaman scored early goals for Lahore Qalandars against Islamabad United. For the first wicket, the two batters stitched together a 58-run target.

Shadab Khan, on the other hand, provided Islamabad with a much-needed breakthrough by bowling out Tahir after he had scored 20 runs off 17 balls.
Tom Curran dismissed Fakhar in the next over. The left-handed batter attempted a bid shot, but the ball knocked the stums over after an inside edge.
Nonetheless, the onslaught continued as Abdullah Shafique and Sam Billings pushed the envelope.
Abdullah and Sam put on an incredible 71-run partnership off 38 balls. Curran struck again, breaking the crucial partnership, dismissing Abdullah, who was caught at midwicket by Rahmanullah Gurbaz.
The 23-year-old finished with 45 runs from 24 balls, including four boundaries and two maximums.
