A year after returning to Australia, Kylie Minogue and her British lover of five years have broken up.
The 54-year-old pop icon is thought to have ended her relationship with GQ executive Paul Solomons in advance of her eagerly anticipated upcoming global tour.
In May, when the couple walked the red carpet of the ABBA Voyage together, Kylie and Paul were last seen together in public.
According to a source close to former GQ executive Paul, the two “simply couldn’t make things work.”
“Long distance isn’t easy for any couple. Kylie and Paul really tried to make things work but ultimately the time difference was a killer – Paul couldn’t exactly nip to Melbourne for a long weekend whenever things got strained,” they shared.
“Kylie initially wanted to keep the split quiet though as she really does not want the narrative to be ‘poor, unlucky-in-love-Kylie’s heartbreak’s again,”
According to the insider, Kylie is a “strong, immensely accomplished lady” who won’t let her breakup stand in the way of her future.
According to the insider, Kylie and Paul are still close friends despite their separation.
Prior to her world tour, Kylie is reportedly ‘hugely enthusiastic’ about beginning a new chapter in her life.
As of right now, Kylie’s Instagram grid appears to be completely empty of any mention of Paul.
When Kylie and Paul first met in 2018, they immediately clicked.
For years, their relationship appeared to be flourishing, but in 2021, when they were forced to spend more than nine months apart due to the Covid epidemic, they experienced heartbreak.
Paul was cooped up at home in London while Kylie was back in her hometown of Melbourne.
