The Swedish translation of the Quran will be printed in 100,000 copies, according to Kuwait.
Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the prime minister of Kuwait, was the driving force behind the initiative and gave the go-ahead to the publication.
This strategy aims to spread the peaceful and harmonious message of Islam among the Swedes and other communities.
The prime minister, Sheikh Ahmad, expressed his desire to spread tolerance, peaceful coexistence, and respect for all people that are central to Islam.
The choice was made in response to a blasphemous incident in which an Iraqi citizen desecrated copies of the Quran on June 28, the first day of Eid al-Adha, in Sweden. Muslims all over the world have been deeply saddened and incensed by this incident.
The Swedish translation of the Quran should be finished soon and distributed to mosques, libraries, schools, and other institutions across Sweden.
Knut Bernström, a renowned Swedish translator, completed the translation work. Additionally, the translated version is accessible online and as an iPhone and iPad app.
The prime minister of Kuwait expressed the hope that this initiative would promote tolerance and respect for various religious and cultural traditions.
He added that Kuwait would continue to support initiatives and causes related to Islam around the world.
