A daughter and her father’s burned bodies were discovered in the burned remains of a shed, and an OnlyFans model has been accused of killing them.
On December 20 in the small Queensland town of Biggenden, Kirra Mooney, 10, and her father Todd Mooney, 54, perished in a fire that was intentionally started by Kristen Olsen, 24.
Before post-mortem findings showed something more sinister and authorities opened a homicide investigation on December 29, their deaths were first deemed to be a “terrible tragedy.”
On Friday, two allegations of murder and one act of arson were brought against Olsen, who describes herself as a “barefoot little gipsy.”
The hippy entrepreneur and travel blogger, who currently resides in a van, recently announced to her followers that she was “back, bigger and better than ever” and that she would be travelling “where my feet take me.”
“These two foot falcons have led me to the heart of Far North Queensland … a town surrounded by jungle … where I am able to be myself,” she wrote in a Facebook post.
Just before Todd Mooney, a local baker, was set to marry his longtime boyfriend on the property later that week, the terrible murder took place.
According to Queensland Detective Inspector Gary Pettiford, there are no known connections between the victims and the suspected killer, making the deaths appear to be horrifyingly random.
Nevertheless, Olsen is rumoured to have gone to school in Biggenden and frequented the town recently.
A motive or whether the victims died before or after the fire have not yet been determined by the detective.
Divers looking for hints in the adjacent springs are only one example of the additional evidence the police are currently looking for to support their case.
Olsen will show up in court in Maryborough on Monday and in Maroochydore on Saturday.
