The Met Office has predicted rain, thunderstorms, and snowfall over the hills in the western and upper sections of the country.
A westerly wave is predicted to hit the country’s western regions on February 8th (at night), engulf the upper regions on February 9th, and maybe linger over northern regions until February 10th.
From February 8th to February 10th, Murree, Galliyat, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and other districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa might expect rain and snowfall over the hills due to the effect of this weather system.
From February 9th to 10th, rain and sporadic hailstorms are predicted in Islamabad, the Pothohar region, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Lahore, Faisalabad, and other Punjab districts.
Quetta, Zhob, Barkhan, Harnai, Qila Saifullah, Qillah Abdullah, Chamman, and Pishin could anticipate light to moderate rain, wind, and thunderstorms with snowfall over the hills on February 8 and 9.
In Murree, Galiyat, Naran, Kaghan, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Shangla, Astore, Hunza, Skardu, Neelum valley, Bagh, Poonch, and Haveli from February 8 to 10, moderate to isolated severe snowfall may interrupt and lead to road closures.
