A person was arrested and another had charges filed after several sex offenders were discovered during the search for a missing 16-year-old.
As the hunt for Kiely Rodni entered its second week, deputies from the Placer County Sheriff’s Office carried out a thorough sex offender operation on Thursday.
The person who was apprehended during the operation is not thought to have any connection to Rodni’s disappearance.
Officials stated on Friday that the Truckee and North Tahoe region was the focus of a collaborative sex offender compliance sweep by PCSO and Truckee Police.
The Thursday, August 18th operation identified numerous sex registrants to be in violation of their terms, leading to one arrest and the filing of criminal charges against another, according to PCDO.
In Truckee, California, shortly after midnight on August 6, Kiely was last saw at a school-related event close to the Prosser Family Campground.
