Traffic accident in the Balochistani district of Khuzdar claimed the lives of at least nine individuals, five of whom were women. Another 12 people were critically injured.
On Tuesday, a passenger van and a car collided head-on on the RCD Highway in Balochistan’s Khuzdar District, resulting in the incident.
In the Korak neighbourhood of Khuzdar district, the passenger van allegedly collided with a pick-up travelling in the opposite direction on N-25. As a result, five people were badly injured, including two women, and died on the way to Government Teaching Hospital Khuzdar. Four people, including three women, died at the scene.
The seriously injured were then transported to Karachi for additional medical care.
Deputy Commissioner Khuzdar Mohammad Ilyas Kibzai, MPA from Khuzdar Mir Yunus Zehri, and other officials arrived in the area quickly after the catastrophe and started the relief effort.
