Rainfall in Karachi and other parts of Sindh is expected to begin on April 28,
According to Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz, a westerly wave pattern will approach Balochistan from Oman. “A spell of light and heavy rainfall will most likely begin on April 28 at noon,” a weather expert said.
Meanwhile, heavy rains will commence on April 29 across the country, and this phase is expected to last until May 10.
“The weather system will bring heavy rainfall in Balochistan, as well as in Tharparkar and Umarkot districts of Sindh,” according to the Met Office.
This Oman weather system will also bring rain to Karachi and other regions in Sindh.
It should be noted that Oman experienced significant rains last week.
Existing high to extremely hot and dry weather is expected to last till April 27th in most cities across the province, with daily maximum temperatures reaching 40-42oC in districts of central and upper Sindh, and 36-38oC in Karachi division and other coastal districts.
