A meteorological system that entered the province on Saturday is expected to cause rain throughout majority of Sindh, including Karachi, despite the bitter cold.
According to the Met Department, light rain is expected to fall in the districts of Jacobabad, Qambar- Shahdadkot, Kashmore, Shikarpur, Larkana, Sukkur, Ghotki, Khairpur, Dadu, Noshehro Feroz, Shaheed Benazirabad, and Jamshoro.
However, there is a risk of rain in Hyderabad, Karachi, and other parts of Sindh.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, a westerly wave is expected to hit the country’s western regions late on Saturday, grasp upper regions on Sunday, and maybe linger till Monday (afternoon).
In the meantime, severe snowfall and rain are expected in most parts of the province starting on Saturday, therefore the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) of Balochistan on Friday issued an alert for deputy commissioners.
The PDMA has instructed all relevant agencies to maintain vigilance during the forecast period because the anticipated snowfall could impair daily life and traffic in mountainous and hilly areas.
