According to Tuesday’s forecast from weather expert Jawad Memon, Karachi will likely see another cold wave from today (Tuesday) until Saturday, January 28. For the next four days, the city’s temperature is expected to plummet to 4-6 °C.
In Karachi’s central and eastern regions, the temperature may drop to 5-8°C under the impact of the new system, while the southern region would witness cold bursts of 9-11°C, according to him.

The week-long cold wave might be Karachi’s last of the winter of 2023, he noted.
However, Ziarat experienced a temperature decrease of -17.8°C due to recent significant snowfall in Balochistan.
The severe weather put an end to daily activity in many places by freezing water in pipelines and making motorways and link roads slick from frost, which caused traffic jams.
The water supply was also hampered by the weather because frozen water inside of pipelines caused them to explode.
