KARACHI: Orange Line Bus Rapid Transport (BRT) project will open to the general public on Saturday (tomorrow).
The Sindh government renamed the Orange Line BRT project as the Abdul Sattar Edhi Line in May in honour of the late philanthropist.
The public operations of Karachi’s Abdul Sattar Edhi BRT will begin tomorrow, according to announcement from Sindh Information and Transport Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon. He continued by saying that the Orange Line BRT was an initiative of the Sindh government for the citizens of Karachi.
According to the provincial minister, the everyday benefits of the public transportation initiative would be felt by thousands of commuters.
On September 3, Memon reported that a trial run of Orange Line buses between Orangi Town and the North Nazimabad Edhi Green Line station had begun, with free service provided to customers.
