The provincial minister noted that the Sindh government had fully funded the building of the Orange Line BRTS for the residents of Karachi.
The 3.88-kilometer-long Orange Line corridor connects Orangi Town with the Board Office intersection. It has five terminals and can accommodate 30 buses at its depot. It is projected to get 50,000 passengers each day.
Syed Qaim Ali Shah, a former chief minister of Sindh, inaugurated the project in June 2016 to help 50,000 residents of Orangi Town. Since the project’s inception in 2016, it was anticipated that it would be finished within a year.
