Pitch Report:
This season, Karachi has played both of its games on its home field. They came close to reaching their goal of 200 in the first game but lost as Islamabad United successfully chased it down in 18.2 overs.
These two games make it quite evident that the venue’s pitch is a hitters’ haven. So, the captain who chooses to bat first will try to put the opponent under strain by scoring runs.
Probable Playing XI:
Karachi Kings (KK):
James Vince, Sharjeel Khan, Haider Ali, Shoaib Malik, Matthew Wade (wk), Imad Wasim (c), Irfan Khan, James Fuller, Andrew Tye, Muhammad Musa, Mohammad Amir
Quetta Gladiators (QG):
Jason Roy, Martin Guptill, Umar Akmal, Sarfaraz Ahmed (c & wk), Mohammad Hafeez, Iftikhar Ahmed, Mohammad Nawaz, Abdul Bangalzai, Naseem Shah, Mohammad Hasnain, Nuwan Thushara
Probable Best Performers
Probable best batter:
Jason Roy:
On his best day, the brash English opener is capable of destroying any bowling attack. He struggled against Multan Sultans in the first game, so he’ll be keen to get going against Karachi Kings.
Probable best bowler:
Mohammed Amir:
In Karachi’s most recent match against Islamabad United, the experienced Pakistani seamer recorded 2/30 in four overs. After a forgettable performance in the first game, Amir appeared to be in excellent rhythm. Against the Quetta Gladiators, the left-arm fast bowler will want to maintain his impressive performance.
