The defending champion Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultans engaged in a thrilling match to kick off the eighth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Today, February 14, at the National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi, the Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings are set to square off in another intense match.
Last year, the Karachi Kings had a terrible season, winning just one game. They will attempt to change their luck this time around though, with Imad Wasim serving as their captain.
However, Babar Azam, who led Karachi Kings last season, would want to get off to a solid start with Peshawar Zalmi.
Last year, the Wahab Riaz-led Peshawar Zalmi had a successful tournament, winning six out of ten games. However, Islamabad United eliminated them in the first round.
There have been 17 meetings between Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings, with Peshawar winning 12 and Karachi winning just 5.
In the current PSL season, the Imad Wasim-led team will aim to improve their record against Peshawar Zalmi by winning both of their group matches.
