The newly elected Chairman of the Pakistan Microfinance Network (PMN), Mr. Kabeer Naqvi, has been appointed, and the PMN is happy to share this news. To lead PMN in promoting financial and social inclusion as well as economic empowerment for Pakistan’s underserved population, Mr. Naqvi brings a wealth of experience, insight, and expertise.
Since 2015, Mr. Naqvi has served as President & CEO of U Microfinance Bank (U Bank). He represents a new breed of bankers who continue to push for innovation, evolution, and forward-thinking while remaining true to the commitment and spirit of service to the country. He has played a crucial role in the remarkable turnaround and expansion of the bank.
Mr. Naqvi has played a significant role in the microfinance sector for almost two decades and is passionate about issues related to economic empowerment, poverty alleviation, and sustainable growth. He is the best person to advance the mission of PMN due to his strategic leadership, vision, and track record.
As PMN’s Chairman, Mr. Naqvi will be in charge of creating new areas of interest, managing the network’s projects, encouraging cooperation among member organizations, and leading the group’s initiative to increase access to financial services for the unbanked and underprivileged sectors of society. In order to further advance the growth and development of the microfinance sector in Pakistan, his leadership will be crucial in strengthening PMN’s advocacy for inclusive policies, as well as for the improvement and enhancement of regulatory frameworks. He will also play a crucial role in fostering more open dialogues with all stakeholders.
