Since Cristiano Ronaldo, Jude Bellingham is the only player to score in each of Real Madrid’s first three La Liga games.
The 20-year-old transferred from Borussia Dortmund to the Spanish giants in June for a record-breaking £115 million transfer fee.
He scored in his league debut against Athletic Club earlier this month, a 2-0 victory.
The following week, Bellingham continued his strong play in Real Madrid’s second La Liga match, scoring twice against Almeria.
And he scored the game-winning goal in dramatic fashion on Friday against Celta Vigo for the club.
He tied Ronaldo’s record of four goals in his first three La Liga games with a header in the 81st minute.
And the two superstars have already been compared by fans.
Tweeted one user: “Two generational talents.”
An additional person said, “Cristiano has set the records and Bellingham is following up.”
Another added: “Catching up to the champ.”
Ronaldo spent nine years with Real Madrid, scoring 450 goals and dishing out 131 assists in 438 games before joining Juventus in 2018.
The 38-year-old joined the team in January and is currently a player for Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League.
Bellingham has been hailed by many fans as the summer’s best signing, with one declaring: “He is levels ahead of the rest.”
A different person said: “Legend in the making.”
Another person merely stated, “Best summer signing.”
On Friday night, Bellingham posted about the victory on social media.
“Love a late winner, 3/3,” he wrote. Time to check out my new house.
