The investigation into a missing lady is over after officers discovered her remains.
On March 26, Jordan Cox, 27, vanished from her residence in Wyandotte, Michigan, sparking a nearly two-week manhunt.
As of late March, Cox had ceased responding to the 27-year-old’s family’s texts, which caused concern.
Jordan’s aunt Kim Cox stated in a yesterday Facebook post that the remains discovered by authorities belonged to her daughter.
Her reason of passing away has not been determined.
“She’s deeply missed by her family and friends and we’re very saddened by this tragic loss,” Kim told The U.S Sun.
“The Cox family has received official word that the detectives investigating Jordan’s disappearance have located her remains,” a family friend wrote on a GoFundMe page set up to help cover the cost of Jordan’s funeral.
“This is the absolute worse scenario imaginable in the nightmare that this week has been for them all,” she continued.
On March 31, Jordan’s family got in touch with the authorities after not hearing from her for several days.
Jordan departed her house to assist her father in moving cartons into his apartment, according to the Wyandotte Police Department.
She never made it to her father’s flat, according to her relative, who spoke to The News-Herald.
On March 26, between 3 and 5 o’clock, Jordan was last seen.
Kim Cox reported that her friends and family had searched extensively throughout the Detroit and Downriver areas.
Jordan has received messages from friends and family on Facebook.
“You were such a sweet baby, I’m so sorry this happened to you,” one friend wrote.
“I love you so much Jojo forever and always my forever best friend, and now my angel,” another close friend said.
