According to the websites of Zeis-McGreevey Funeral Homes and Berry-McGreevey-Martens Funeral Homes, Jennifer Ilgauskas, the wife of former Cavaliers player Zydrunas Ilgauskas, passed away at the age of 50.
Deividas and Povilas Ilgauskas, sons of Jennifer Ilgauskas, née Shafer, and the former Cavaliers centre. 1996 saw the selection of Zydrunas Ilgauskas, who played through 2009–10. In 2014, his No. 11 jersey was retired.
Among the companies controlled by Jennifer Ilgauskas in Northeast Ohio were Rebound Physical Therapy, North Olmsted Urgent Care, Lakewood Urgent Care, and Darbo, a business that handled medical billing. She was also a fervent supporter of numerous nonprofit institutions.
Many people were touched by her deeds of generosity, but few were aware of the breadth and depth of her philanthropic activity, according to her obituary on the website.

Koby Altman, the Cleveland Cavaliers’ president of basketball operations, posted a video on Instagram on Wednesday afternoon in which he offered the team’s condolences.
“We wanted to acknowledge and give a heartfelt condolence to the Ilgauskas family (on Jennifer’s passing),” Altman said. “… Our thoughts and prayers are with the Ilgauskas family, his two boys and it’s obviously a really, really sad time for that family so we wish them the best.”

A funeral Mass open to the public will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. James Church, 17514 Detroit Avenue, Lakewood.
