Nathan Griffith, a former “Teen Mom” star, was arrested for domestic battery after allegedly choking a woman, Page Six can confirm.
According to TMZ, police were called to the former reality TV star’s Delray Beach, Florida, home on Friday after he allegedly told his brother-in-law, William, over the phone that he had “lost it,” choked a woman, and dragged her up the stairs.
According to William, he then texted Griffith’s girlfriend, who told him she was not OK.
When cops arrived at Griffith’s house, he allegedly refused to cooperate, telling them that William wasn’t a reliable source because he was “on drugs.”
However, the MTV star had scratches on his neck and back that he allegedly told cops were caused by sex with his girlfriend.
The woman, who has not been identified publicly, initially refused to cooperate with police, but later admitted that he had been “physically aggressive with her.” Authorities noticed bruising around her neck as well.
According to the police report obtained by the outlet, she yelled, “I’m 100 pounds and he’s 250 pounds, how the hell am I supposed to get him off me?”
Griffith, who has an 8-year-old son Kaiser with “Teen Mom” alum Jenelle Evans, has been charged with domestic battery by strangulation and is being held without bond at the Palm Beach County jail.
The arrest was first reported by the US Sun.
Although the woman’s name is being withheld by cops, Griffith married May Oyola, 38, in a private Miami ceremony in April 2022. According to The New York Times, she currently resides in the home where he was arrested.
