The mother and daughter’s relationship has always been rocky. Over the years, Teen Mom 2 has even featured their rocky relationship.
Barbara saw the Teen Mom cast during a trip to LA and gave them advice about not getting drawn into the world of fame, which led to the release of this most current video. She discussed how Jenelle spent a lot of money on her men, using her daughter as an example.

Following Barbara’s recent trip to Los Angeles, when she visited with the Teen Mom: Young & Pregnant cast and counselled them not to waste the money from their show foolishly, Jenelle posted on Instagram. The Ashley’s Reality Roundup said that Barbara supposedly said:
“I’m gonna give you advice. Do not get sucked into this fame and do not, no seriously, do not blow your money. Do not get sucked into fame, because it will ruin your life. That’s what happened to Farrah. She’s a f–king mes.”
Barbara was in LA to film for the new season of Teen Mom: Girls’ Night.
Speaking about Jenelle and how she spent all her money, Barbara said:
“Even Jenelle, she spent so much money buying cars, boats, everything for her boyfriends. What are you f–king nuts? Ya know, taking trips.”

Prior to this, tensions between the two erupted over custody of Jenelle and Andrew Lewis’ son Jace, who is almost 13 years old.
Barbara told TMZ in January 2021 that she had “complete custody” of Jace. In a TikTok video she posted that month, Jenelle allegedly refuted the claims.
Despite their estranged relationship, in a March interview, Jenelle told Us Weekly that she would “never” want Barabara out of Jace’s life:
“I know in the past I’ve said that, but that was when I was young and mad. I see how important it is for Jace to have that relationship with my mom, no matter how much I dislike her.”
In addition to Jace, the North Carolina native is a mother to two other kids. She has two children: Kaiser, with her ex-husband Nathan Griffith, and Ensley, with her current partner David Eason.
