For years, true-crime enthusiasts have been captivated and repulsed by the horrible atrocities committed by Jeffrey Dahmer. Now, Netflix’s newest drama tells his terrifying tale.
In the documentary Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, the serial killer’s wicked crimes and the lives of the 17 men and boys he killed over a 13-year killing spree are both examined.
The show has effectively caught the interest of Netflix subscribers, as seen by its swift ascent to the top spot on the streamer’s Top 10 trending lists.
But given the show’s appeal, many viewers have questioned whether Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story will be renewed for a second season.
On Wednesday, September 21, 2022, Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story became available on Netflix.
The show chronicles the life of serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, who brutally murdered 17 men and boys between 1978 and 1991 over the course of a 13-year killing spree.
Along with examining Dahmer’s horrifying acts, the series also looks at the lives of his victims and the effects his choices had on the communities in which they lived, which were plagued by institutional racism and failures that contributed to the deadly killing spree.
Will there be a seaon 2 of Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story Season?
Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story will not be returning to Netflix for season 2.
This is because Netflix has designated Dahmer as a limited miniseries, which means that its narrative will be conveyed over just one season before coming to a conclusion.
That makes perfect sense in the case of Jeffrey Dahmer because the serial murderer was killed by a fellow prisoner, Christopher Scarver, in 1994, so there is no longer any source material to base a prospective second season on.
