A young man Jayden McKay who attended his friend’s baby shower unfortunately passed away after leaving the event and was hit by a car.
At before 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jayden McKay, 21, left the home of Jarrod Hardman and Brittany Binetti in Aldinga Beach, 46 km south of Adelaide, when he was struck by a car and killed instantly.
The couple remembered him as a ‘loving, caring kind-hearted gentle soul’ and one of the ‘nicest people I’ve ever met’
‘No matter what he was going through, he always looked after his friends. We went to school together and we’ve been close friends half our life,’

After the baby shower, the couple went back to their Norman Road home for a few drinks. At around 9.30 p.m., Jayden “wandered off and on to the road.”
When they went to check on Mr. McKay after hearing a disturbance, they discovered that he had been struck by a car.
Since there are no lights along the road, they don’t hold the woman who struck their friend responsible, claiming that she was unaware that he was there.
The most kind, caring, kind-hearted, sensitive soul you could ever have had the pleasure to meet, according to Mr. McKay’s mother Kirsty.
He had no ill will in him, according to her, and was an ancient soul who was adored by all.
‘He was not only my son but he was my best friend, my travelling companion, my sounding board, my entire world,’ she said.
‘You hear cars going up and down like a drag strip,’ he told
At the civil construction company Catcon, where they both worked, Mr. Hardman claimed Mr. McKay would have had a promising career.
According to police, the car’s driver was helping them with their inquiries.
Paul Binetti, Ms. Binetti’s father, noted that the road where Mr. McKay was killed can be extremely hazardous.
According to locals, that section of the road has recently been extremely congested.
To avoid a repeat of the tragedy, they are now requesting an urgent safety update in the region.
