As frightening information about the tragic incident are revealed, the bodies of two members of the same family were discovered in separate locations.
According to sources, Jason Wray carried out a gruesome murder-suicide on Sunday in which he is thought to have murdered his wife Jessica before killing himself by crossing in front of a semi-truck on the freeway.
According to accounts, police were called to the couple’s house after finding a dead person there.
The cops found a woman who had been “violently physically attacked” while searching for her spouse.
As further calls poured in, local media stations reported that a man had been hit by a car but was not gravely hurt.
According to Madison Police Chief Shon Barnes on Friday, the man was hit and then got back in his car and drove to Interstate 90.
Barnes claimed that after that, the individual “again exited his car on foot and, this time, stepped in front of a semi-truck.”
The pair was publicly named on Wednesday by the Madison, Wisconsin-based office of the Dane County Medical Examiner.
Jason passed away from his injuries after being struck by the semi-truck, while Jessica passed away from blunt force trauma and many stab wounds.
The University of Wisconsin Health employed the pair both as medical assistants.
“We are devastated by the news of this unspeakable tragedy and our hearts are with the family and friends suffering this terrible loss,” said UW Health Press Secretary Emily Kumlien in a statement.
“The well-being of our staff and providers is a top priority, and we will continue to provide emotional support to them as they grieve.
“We urge the community to respect the privacy of all who are grieving and to show support through the fund established for the family if you are able.”
“It’s a very tight-knit neighborhood. It’s a neighborhood where the kids play outside a lot, run around together,” Luke Hoffman, a family friend, and neighbor, told News 3 Now.
“The families take care of each other.”
“These kids are surrounded by so much love, but growing up after losing both parents will take a lot more,” read the description of the fundraiser.
“Please help in any way you can. Every little bit helps.”
