Isla Cochran14-year-old girl been killed in a crash while riding her bike – and her family have paid tribute to their teen who “loved life”.
Isla Cochrane, 14, was involved in a collision with a car while riding her bicycle down a Cambridgeshire road not far from her house.
When paramedics arrived on the scene and hurried the teenager to the hospital, she tragically passed away from her injuries.
Police said the car’s driver, a male in his 20s, was unharmed and stayed at the scene.
The horrifying occurrence took place on Oakington Road in Girton on Saturday at 8:20 p.m. Less than five kilometres distant, Isla was from Lawrence Close.
Flowers have now been placed close to the bike path in honour of the adolescent.
Additionally, her relatives paid tribute to the “lovely” adolescent who would be remembered for her “great style” and “unrestricted vision.”
They said: “Isla adored life; she delighted in so many things, including the great outdoors, friendships, painting, needlework, baking, hockey, mystery novels, codes, music, Scouts, and a great deal more.
“We will always remember her kindness, unconstrained outlook and fantastic style.
“Her death has left a huge hole in our lives, and in those of her many friends.
“We will love and miss her always.”
