iQoo Z8, iQoo Z8x Unveiled, With 120Hz Display, Dual Rear Cameras

On Thursday, the iQoo Z8 and iQoo Z8x were introduced in China. The new Z-series smartphones succeed the iQoo Z7 and iQoo Z7x and are powered by Android 13-based OriginOS 3.0. The MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC powers the iQoo Z8, while the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset powers the iQoo Z8x. The phones support fast charging and have dual rear camera units. They have comparable display requirements.

Price and Availability:

The iQoo Z8 and the iQoo Z8x are offered in three color options: Moon Porcelain White, Hoshino Ao (Blue), and Yaoye Black. The price of the iQoo Z8’s 8GB + 256GB variant is CNY 1,699, while the prices of the 12GB + 256GB and the 12GB + 512GB variants are CNY 1,799 and CNY 1,999, respectively.

The price of the iQoo Z8x’s 8GB + 128GB variant is CNY 1,299, while the 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB options are marked at CNY 1,399 and CNY 1,499, respectively. The phones will begin selling starting on September 7 and are currently up for pre-order in China.

Specs:

Display and Processor:

The iQoo Z8 and iQoo Z8x have a 6.64-inch IPS full-HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) LCD display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a 19:9 aspect ratio. Out of the box, they run OriginOS 3.0 on Android 13. The MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC is found in the iQoo Z8, while the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset is found in the iQoo Z8x.

Cameras:

The iQoo Z8’s dual rear camera system consists of a primary 64-megapixel sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a secondary 2-megapixel sensor. The iQoo Z8x, on the other hand, has a 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 50-megapixel primary sensor with OIS support. The iQoo Z8 has a 16-megapixel selfie camera, whereas the iQoo Z8x has an 8-megapixel sensor.

Battery and Charging:

The 5,000mAh battery in the iQoo Z8 supports 120W wired Ultra-Flash Charging, while the 6,000mAh battery in the iQoo Z8x supports 44W wired flash charging.

Dimensions and Weight:

The dimensions of the iQoo Z8 are 164.58mm x 75.80mm x 8.79mm for the iQoo Z8, and 164.63mm x 75.80mm x 9.10mm for the iQoo Z8x.

Features:

The phones have face unlock technology and side-mounted fingerprint sensors for security. Additionally, they support USB Type-C, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.3, GPS, and 5G. Additionally, the phones feature a 3.5mm audio jack.
