According to a recent report, Apple has resumed work on the iPhone SE 4, which was previously believed to have been paused or delayed due to the lack of demand for mid-to-low-end iPhone models. After the iPhone SE (2020), which was released in 2020, the iPhone SE 2022 was the third model in Apple’s lineup. As a result, there was a lot of excitement when the product was first released. There were several interesting features on the iPhone SE (2022). The newest flagship A15 Bionic SoC, which at the time was utilized by the iPhone 13 series, was provided to users.
Additionally, the iPhone SE (2022) added 5G support to the entry-level model. The upcoming Apple iPhone SE 4 could debut a proprietary Apple 5G modem, according to a MacRumors report citing analyst Jeff Pu. He reportedly said in a research note with Haitong International Securities on Tuesday that the phone would be released in 2025 and that the modem would be produced by Apple’s chip supplier TSMC.
According to a recent report by Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the company has resumed work on the iPhone SE 4, which is likely to include an internal 5G chip that Apple developed to replace Qualcomm’s. The iPhone SE 4’s release date was not specified by Kuo, but he did suggest that it wouldn’t be until at least 2024.
Apple’s 5G baseband chipset would be built using TSMC’s 4nm technology, which can currently only support sub-6GHz, Kuo claimed, and it would be included in the iPhone SE 4. According to Kuo, the main issue is whether Apple can get past the mmWave and satellite connectivity technological barriers.
Another rumor, meanwhile, suggested that the upcoming iPhone SE 4 model would have a 6.1-inch BOE-made OLED display.
The 4.7-inch Retina HD display on the iPhone SE (2022) is driven by an A15 Bionic SoC. It has a front-facing 7-megapixel camera sensor and a 12-megapixel camera sensor with an f/1.8 wide-angle lens on the back.
The battery of the iPhone SE (2022) can support up to 15 hours of video playback or 50 hours of audio playback on a single charge, according to Apple. It is compatible with Qi wireless charging. Additionally, it has fast 20W wired charging.
