The successor to the iPhone SE 2022 model, the iPhone SE 4, is not likely to be released in 2024. Analysts predict that the rumored internal 5G modem won’t be ready in time for the Cupertino-based tech giant to introduce the alleged iPhone SE 4. As previously predicted, the fourth SE Apple device is more likely to debut in 2025 with larger displays and those in-house 5G modems. The iPhone models are anticipated to have Qualcomm modems up until that point.
The iPhone SE 4 won’t be released in 2024, according to a report, because analysts said in a research note provided to the publication that the in-house 5G modems the model had previously been tipped to launch with won’t be ready by next year. Jeff Pu, an Apple analyst, predicts that by 2025, Apple 5G modem production will begin. Ming-Chi Kuo, another analyst, agreed with Pu’s hypotheses.
Additionally, Kuo predicted that the iPhone SE 4 would unveil with a bigger OLED screen than its predecessors. The “biggest change” in Apple’s plans for the phone, he continued, will be the change to the display.
According to reports, Beijing Oriental Electronics (BOE), a Chinese company, will supply Apple with 6.1-inch OLED panels for the iPhone SE 4 as opposed to LG and Samsung, which have previously given the company LCD displays for the SE models with lower price points.
The 4.7-inch Retina HD display on the iPhone SE 2022 has a 750×1,334 pixel resolution. It boasts a “all-day battery life” and is powered by the A15 Bionic chipset. The model has a 7-megapixel front camera sensor and a single 12-megapixel rear camera sensor.
