This week saw the formal launch of the iPhone 14 series, which includes the iPhone 14, 14 Plus, 14 Pro, and 14 Pro Max. The iPhone 14 Plus, which is just a bigger edition with the largest battery on an iPhone yet, has replaced the iPhone Mini as the device that Apple will no longer sell.
Now that these phones are up for pre-order in Pakistan as well, the costs are as outrageous as to be expected. The starting price for the iPhone 14 with 128GB of storage is a staggering Rs. 419,999. This costs even more than the beginning price of the iPhone 13 Pro Max, which is Rs. 370,000.
Price increases can be attributed to the increase in import duties, which also had an impact on laptops, graphics cards, and other electronics in addition to cellphones. As a result, the beginning price of the iPhone 14 Plus is Rs. 459,999, the iPhone 14 Pro is Rs. 489,999, and the Pro Max variant will cost Rs. 529,999.
The 1TB iPhone 14 Pro Max, which retails for an astounding Rs. 689,999, is the most expensive smartphone currently offered in Pakistan. For that amount, you could purchase several brand-new motorcycles or even a pre-owned compact automobile!
These phones won’t get in your hands before October, at the very least, as they are now only available for pre-orders.
Purchasing an iPhone from the prior generation currently offers a considerably better value, especially because the 14 series does not feature any significant advancements.
In comparison to the 128 GB iPhone 14, which costs Rs. 420,000, a 256 GB iPhone 13 Pro Max is available for Rs. 389,999. In this method, you receive twice as much storage and all the benefits of a Pro Max model, such as a larger screen (with ProMotion as well), a better battery, and powerful cameras. If you want to save even more money, you can just purchase a 128GB iPhone 13 for “just” Rs. 299,999.
