According to a report from last week, the newly appointed management committee was considering designating the illustrious cricketer as the head selector of the national team.
Zaka Ashraf made a number of adjustments to the operations of the cricket board after taking over as Chairman of the PCB Management Committee.
This month, the PCB appointed Misbah-ul-Haq, a former captain, to lead the prominent Technical Committee, which also includes Mohammad Hafeez.
It is important to note that between 2016 and 2019, the former cricketer served the cricket board as the head selector of the national team.
The team selection for the upcoming ODI series against Afghanistan in Sri Lanka, which begins on August 22, will be Inzamam’s first task.
