
During a routine training mission, an Indian Air Force (IAF) MiG-21 aircraft crashed nearby Suratgarh in Rajasthan, tragically killing three civilians.
To find out what caused the accident, the IAF has established a Court of Inquiry.
According to Sudheer Choudhary, the Superintendent of Police in Hanumangarh, the accident took place in the village of Bahlolnagar. Three women were involved; two died at the scene, and one died later from critical injuries while being treated for them.
Three other people suffered injuries as well, and they are now being treated at a government hospital. The deceased have been identified as Bansho Kaur (45), wife of Ratan Singh alias Ratiram, Leela Devi (55), wife of Rampratap, and Banto (60), wife of Lal Singh.
The women were not related but happened to be at Bansho Kaur’s house when the plane crashed, according to Kuldeep Moond, a former sarpanch of Bahlolnagar.
