The Kalma Chowk underpass will open to traffic on Pakistan Day, March 23, according to an announcement made on Thursday by interim Punjab caretaker minister for communications, works, and excise Bilal Afzal.

He praised the absence of mishaps and poor quality control in such a sizable construction project. Bilal Afzal then reviewed the site’s construction activity and gave the necessary officers instructions to ensure a harmonious working environment for the project’s speedy completion.
He urged the NESPAK representatives to remove any obstacles standing in the way of achieving the stated goals and to offer all assistance they could.
The provincial minister was previously briefed, and he was informed that the road will be carpeted on March 20 and that the excavation of the Ali Zeb Road underpass will be finished by March 19. The minister was told by the pertinent sources that every effort would be made to complete the project by March 23.
