Imran Khan to restart ‘Haqeeqi Azadi Movement’ from Saturday

Imran Khan, Chairman PTI and a former prime minister, declared on Wednesday that he would “from Saturday (September 24) and urged the populace to take to the streets as soon as he calls on them. Haqeeqi Azadi (genuine freedom) Movement.

Khan encouraged party members and supporters to prepare for his appeal as establishing the “rule of law” while speaking at the All Pakistan Lawyers Convention in Lahore “was the top priority for the nation.

“If the justice system is not right, then the country’s economy won’t be streamlined,” he said, adding that there will not be any investment in the absence of rule of law.

The PTI chief said that corruption grips the country in the absence of a rule of law.

Since his removal in April, Khan has repeatedly called for “fair and free” snap elections, threatening the government with a “severe reaction” if they don’t comply.

In May, the PTI tried a long march to Islamabad, but the police cracked down and put an end to it.

“The IMF and World Bank have said that Pakistan is becoming another Sri Lanka. Today, Pakistan’s inflation is at a historic high. We will pull Pakistan out of this [situation],” the former prime minister remarked.

He asked lawyers to support the rule of law and reminded them of their obligation in the current circumstance.

Khan remarked that a case involving changes to the National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) law is in court when the subject shifted to one of his cases.

Khan asserted that we wouldn’t require loans if 500,000 Pakistanis living abroad made investments.

“Name one western country whose prime minister’s property worth billions is abroad,” he said, questioning participants at the lawyer’s convention and asking how much Narendra Modi’s property exists abroad.
