Imran Abbasy has been appointed as Pakistan Petroleum Limited’s Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the federal government said today (PPL).
Abbasy has been appointed on a contract basis for a term of three years, according to the official notification of his appointment that Propakistani has received.
He was given the position of CEO of Oil and Gas Development Company Ltd. during the previous PML-N administration (OGDCL). He didn’t, however, enlist with the group. He has experience working for an American oil and gas corporation (US).
Since March 2018, the position of MD/CEO PPL has been vacant. PPL has since been operated on an as-needed basis.
After thorough consideration, the committee submitted a list of two individuals, namely Imran Abbasy and Moin Raza Khan, for the position of MD PPL. The committee was established by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in July.
