Hyundai Nishat Motor (Private) Limited’s prices have increased for Hyundai cars for the second time in a week, suggesting that the new General Sales Tax (G.S.T.) has somehow had a greater impact on this company than other automakers. On February 22, 2022, the company raised the prices in response to the government’s increase in G.S.T. from 17% to 18%.
The company once more cited the 18% G.S.T. (S.R.O. 179(1)2023) and the P.K.R. depreciation against the USD in its notification as the causes of the new increase. For our CKD variants, we are forced to pass on some cost pressures to customers, the business claimed.
New prices will be applicable on all new orders for April 2023 deliveries and onwards.
