As of the last time we heard, Shawn Levy (Free Guy) was directing Deadpool 3, while sisters Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Loeglin were writing the script.
After Disney acquired Fox, the studio that produced the first two films in the trilogy, the franchise’s future remained uncertain. The Marvel Studios franchise now *officially* includes Deadpool.
Deadpool made a lot of money at the box office in 2016 with a $782 million global revenue. The sequel in 2018 surpassed even that massive total, pulling in $785 million worldwide.
