On the advice of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) revised its tax allocation for iPhones. Taxes on the iPhone 14 series have been significantly reduced by between 10 and 20 percent, with significant variations ranging from Rs. 9,074 to Rs. 31,562 (on Passport) and Rs. 29,832 to Rs. 34,901 (on CNIC).
While the tax on CNIC has significantly decreased from Rs. 160,958 to Rs. 131,126, the tax on the iPhone 14 has decreased from Rs. 134,825 to Rs. 125,751 (on passport). Additionally, the price of the iPhone 14 Pro Max has decreased because the tax on passports and CNICs was reduced by Rs. 31,262 and Rs. 34,901, respectively.
